"Taking Back Main Street"

The Brawley Main Street Committee, in association with the Brawley Community Foundation, is proud to announce that we are “Taking Back Main Street.”

With the recent relinquishment of Downtown Brawley’s Main Street by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), we have joined together to develop an event to kick off a “Taking Back Main Street” campaign. The goal of this event is to invigorate and promote the economic vitality of Brawley’s historic Main Street area by making Main Street a destination. We invite you to join us by supporting this historic event in our community.

We have planned an event of fun-filled family activities. We will be hosting a hamburger cook-off on Saturday, April 27 at Brawley’s Plaza Park where local contestants will be competing for prize money and awards. Entertainment will consist of Professional Lucha Libre wrestling and live music.

This momentous event seeks to bring the community together and provide entertainment for all families in our community with the overall mission of promoting our Downtown. We cannot accomplish this goal alone. We need your help. Your participation is critical to the success of this event. Our goal is to put on a fantastic and memorable event, and it will be advertised heavily using various forms of local media and online social media.
