Solar Energy Industry Recruitment Fair
Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation in collaboration with the Imperial County Workforce Development Office are assisting, IBEW Local 569 and Laborer's Union 1184 to recruit applicants for jobs in the Renewable Energy Industry. Individuals who meet the following qualifications are encourages to apply:
Thee Labor Union Local 1184 will be seeking to fill the following positions:
- Solar Rack Installers
- Forklift Driver
- Grade All Operators
- CDL Water Truck Drivers
- Welders
- Site Safety Personnel
Applicants must be 18 years or older, with a high school diploma or GED, and they must be able to pass a drug screen.
The IBEW Union Local 569 will be seeking qualified applicants to fill the following positions:
- Electrician's Apprentice ($15 -$37 per hour)
- Electrician's Trainee ($12 - $28 per hour)
Trainees will receive classroom instruction and field based training. Trainees will be paid during training. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or GED including one full year of algebra. Applicants will also have to pass an entrance exam, complete and interview, and pass a drug screen.
