Color Fest 5K
Join the Imperial Valley Press for the Imperial Valley’s First Color Fest 5K Run from 8 a.m. to noon on Dec.14th at Stark Field in El Centro. Registration packets will include race bib, t-shirt and sunglasses.

All proceeds will benefit Newspapers in Education. Newspapers in Education (NIE) is a program that allows schools receive newspapers at no-cost for use as a classroom tool to enhance learning. Teachers and students have discovered that using newspapers as teaching tools provides many benefits, including increasing communication skills, improving language arts, stimulating interest and intellect for current events and opinion-editorial pages providing information on local artistic, educational, business, religious and athletic events of interest and making students familiar with newspapers as a major resource of information.
