74th Annual Sportsman/Tomato Festival

The Niland Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate their 74th Annual Sportsman and Tomato Festival on January 31st, February 1 and February 2 at the Chamber of Commerce.  Theme is "The Green Pathway Renewable Energy"  Opening ceremonies will be at 4 pm on Jan. 31.  All booths and rides will be open from 4 pm to 10 pm.  On Feb. 1 from 7 am to 9 am breakfast-pancake/biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs includes coffee, served in the main building, cost is $5.  There will also be live music and dancing.  Music will be provided by Group Firme. Tomato Festival Parade begins at 10 am.  Grand Marshall for Niland Tomato Festival Parade 2014 are Ernest and Gladine Daker.  On Feb. 2 from 7 am to 9 am breakfast-pancake/biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs, includes coffee, served in main building, cost $5.  All booths will open at 10 am.   There will be Schoeppner shows, carnival rides, games, food, live entertainment, Queen Contest, tomato packing contest, parade, pancake breakfast.    On Feb. 2 there will also be a free big screen showing of the Super Bowl.  There will also be raffles and swap meet.  Vendors are welcome.  Wristbands are now available.  Swap meet will open daily Jan 31, Feb. 1 and Feb. 2.
