30th Annual Frankie L. Chavez Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser

Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser that was started in 1995 after our son Frankie and his friend Nathan Mata were killed in a car accident on December 4, 1993 in Calipatria. Frankie had just graduated in June from Brawley Union High School. Our event will be held at Hinojosa Park in Brawley, Ca. We will have live entertainment, Deep Pit BBQ plates for $12.00, (drive thru available) and our softball, and horseshoe tournaments. We will also raffle a 75 inch Toshiba 4K Smart Fire TV and other prizes. It is our goal to raise money so that we may award scholarships to Brawley Union High and Calipatria High school seniors who will be attending college. In 2023, the Foundation awarded $16,900 in Scholarships to a total of 46 graduating seniors. Thanks to the Community of Imperial Valley for their continued support.
